Welcome to Munchner Suppenkuche, a delightful restaurant nestled in the heart of Munich at Sendlinger Str. 7. Known for its rich and satisfying soups, Munchner Suppenkuche has redefined the art of comfort food, introducing a vibrant array of options that cater to both traditional and adventurous palates.
The menu showcases a variety of soups and stews, with highlights such as the KarotteKokosIngwersuppe—an exotic carrot, coconut, and ginger soup priced at just €4.60. It’s a creamy, vegetarian delight that many patrons rave about, making it hard to resist even for those who typically lean towards lighter fare. Then there's the classic Gulaschsuppe Wiener Art, a savory meat soup featuring tender beef and a robust flavor that has cemented its place as a customer favorite since 1982, available for €5.90.
Adding to the charm of Munchner Suppenkuche are the vegan options, such as the Linsencurry, known for its subtle hint of cardamom, and the Kichererbsencurry, which pairs perfectly with green beans—both priced at €5.90. Each dish reflects a thoughtful approach to flavor, ensuring a satisfying experience whether you opt for meat or plant-based options.
Notably, the restaurant’s relaxed atmosphere creates the perfect backdrop for enjoying these culinary gems. Customers have noted the convenience of the Sendlinger Strasse branch, which often avoids the long queues found at the original location in Viktualienmarkt. This invites guests to indulge in their meals without the hassle, whether seated indoors or outside in a quiet yard area, away from the bustling streets.
Moreover, the friendly staff contribute to the welcoming vibe, ensuring that every visit feels personal and warm. With prices that allow for a meal that includes soup and a piece of bread starting at just €7, it’s clear that Munchner Suppenkuche offers both quality and affordability. The extensive selection isn’t limited to just soups; fresh salads and light meals are also delightful complements to a satisfying lunch or snack.
If you find yourself in Munich, don't miss the chance to experience Munchner Suppenkuche. With their commitment to rich flavors and a variety of options, it's the perfect spot to escape from a busy day and enjoy some heartwarming food. Be prepared to fall in love with each bowl!

Rich and varied soups - usually i prefer lighter options, but i really liked the Kartoffeln and Sausage one, with vegetables. Total soup and a piece of bread as if Sep 22 was 7eu

We recently visited Munich and enjoyed two lunches at Muenchner Suppenkueche (Soup Kitchen) branches including their original branch at Viktualienmarkt as well as this branch in the modern commerical complex along Sendlinger Strasse. Opening hours are 9am to 6pm daily (closed on Sundays). Same great soups served up at this Muenchner Suppenkueche as well as a few prepackaged salad and sandwich options. There is a small section of indoor and outdoor seating. One of the things we liked about this branch was that there was no queue when we arrived at lunch time. This is much unlike their original branch which seems to always be very crowded. During this lunch we enjoyed the same order we took at their original branch a few days earlier, a bowl of Carrot, Coconut & Ginger soup as well as the Chili Con Carne. Both tasted flavourful and delicious, perfect for the cold winter days of December. Would gladly repeat a meal at this Muenchner Suppenkueche the next time we are in Munich.

Quiet place for a quick bite if you are not too hungry but need some food and rest. Order from the counter and self service. Curry flavour is adequate and has a small portion of rice to go with it.

There was only 1 vegetarian option when we came for a late lunch. It was not bad at all. Pretty good value since we didn't expect orders come with rice. PS: no toilet available for customers.
